As was Issachar, so was Barak;
Into the valley they rushed ^(T)at his ^[l]heels;
Among the divisions of Reuben
There were great resolves of heart.
¹⁶ “Why did you sit among ^(U)the ^[m]sheepfolds,
To hear the piping for the flocks?
Among the divisions of Reuben
There were great searchings of heart.
¹⁷ “^(V)Gilead ^[n]remained across the Jordan;
And why did Dan stay in ships?
Asher sat at the seashore,
And ^[o]remained by its landings.
¹⁸ “^(W)Zebulun was a people who despised their lives even to death,
And Naphtali also, on the high places of the field.

Then fought the kings of Canaan

²⁸ “Out of the window she looked and lamented,
The mother of Sisera through the ^[r]lattice,
‘Why does his chariot delay in coming?
Why do the ^[s]hoofbeats of his chariots tarry?’
²⁹ “Her wise princesses would answer her,
Indeed she repeats her words to herself,
³⁰ ‘^(AF)Are they not finding, are they not dividing the spoil?
A maiden, two maidens for every warrior;
To Sisera a spoil of dyed work,
A spoil of dyed work embroidered,
Dyed work of double embroidery on the ^[t]neck of the spoiler?’
³¹ “^(AG)Thus let all Your enemies perish, O Lord;
^(AH)But let those who love Him be like the rising of the sun in its might.”

²⁴ O Lord, how ^(A)many are Your works!
^[a]In ^(B)wisdom You have made them all;
The ^(C)earth is full of Your ^[b]possessions.
^25 [c]There is the ^(D)sea, great and ^[d]broad,
In which are swarms without number,
Animals both small and great.
²⁶ There the ^(E)ships move along,
And ^[e](F)Leviathan, which You have formed to sport in it.

²⁷ They all ^(G)wait for You
To ^(H)give them their food in ^[f]due season.
²⁸ You give to them, they gather it up;
You ^(I)open Your hand, they are satisfied with good.
²⁹ You ^(J)hide Your face, they are dismayed;
You ^(K)take away their ^[g]spirit, they expire
And ^(L)return to their dust.
³⁰ You send forth Your ^[h](M)Spirit, they are created;
And You renew the face of the ground.

³¹ Let the ^(N)glory of the Lord endure forever;
Let the Lord ^(O)be glad in His works;
^32 [i]He ^(P)looks at the earth, and it ^(Q)trembles;
He ^(R)touches the mountains, and they smoke.
^33 [j]I will sing to the Lord ^[k](S)as long as I live;
^[l]I will ^(T)sing praise to my God ^[m]while I have my being.
³⁴ Let my ^(U)meditation be pleasing to Him;
As for me, I shall ^(V)be glad in the Lord.
³⁵ Let sinners be ^(W)consumed from the earth
And let the ^(X)wicked be no more.
